Born in Grenada, Simply Smooth grew up in Trinidad with his father and grandmother. While attending secondary school, he found his passion and love for Music by watching DJs like Dr Hyde and Starchild play at school parties. He got his first break playing with a crew called Simple Minds which gave him exposure to the market and made him famous in his home town.

In 1995, he returned to Grenada where he won the 1996 Grenada DJ Championship and went on to win the Caribbean DJ Championship in 1998. These titles helped to boost his career on the International market and he has had the opportunity of performing in places like Canada, New York, England, Bahamas, The Virgin Islands, Barbados, St Vincent and St Lucia.

Now part of the recently formed sound Hyperactive Sound which includes Scratch Master from Grenada and King Bubba and Assasin of Barbados, he performs as Simply Smooth out of the Hyperactive Sound.
